Thomas is originally from Danville, CA where he discovered his passion for STEM education while volunteering at Chabot Space and Science Center and The Lawrence Hall of Science. While studying Computer Engineering at UC San Diego, he interned at Verizon and as a student researcher publishing a paper in DATE 2019 and SRC Techcon 2017. He stayed engaged in the CS community by joining Tau Beta Pi and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2018.
Thomas tutored STEM subjects throughout high school where he honed his ability to tailor his explanations to each student by highlighting and focusing on the areas that they struggle with most. As a professional Software Engineer, he specializes in math and computer science tutoring but is also versed in chemistry and physics.
Thomas started his career as a Software Engineer at Moebius solutions where he worked as a DoD contractor in Mira Mesa and Point Loma. Currently, he is a Staff Software Engineer at Qualcomm working to better support Open Source Software usage with Qualcomm. He develops full-stack internal applications in Python and Typescript. In his spare time you can find him playing board games, doing puzzles, and going for runs!
